Frequently Asked Questions

Covid 19 Update:

Australia Post has implemented social distancing rules during processing which has been impacting delivery times. Delays to our regular postage time-frames may occur.  Some domestic & international deliveries may be redirected/significantly impacted.

Do you have a customer service hotline?

We don't offer customer service phone support at this stage. However, we're always available on email, Instagram and Facebook to assist and answer any queries you may have.

What is GOTS on your cotton products?

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS certified final products may include fibre products, yarns, fabrics, clothes, home textiles, mattresses, personal hygiene products, as well as food contact textiles and more.

Having one common standard means textile processors and manufacturers can export their fabrics and garments with one organic certification that is accepted in all major markets. This transparency also gives consumers the power to choose truly organic products sourced from green supply chains.

Where are you bamboo products sourced from?

We have ensured our bamboo products are farmed from managed plantations in China. FSC® certification is globally recognized as the best and most stringent sustainable forestry certification system in the wood industry. It confirms that the plantation is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.

What is carbon neutral?

Increased carbon dioxide CO2e - levels are a significant and harmful contributor to climate change. Most people don't consider the environmental impact of their online shopping deliveries. But the logistics involved generate a huge amount of CO2 - over 10% of global CO2e emissions are from transport and logistics. Being carbon neutral means that your net release of CO2e into the atmosphere is zero.

Basically, whatever CO2e you emit is cancelled out by a process known as 'offsetting' – that is, supporting projects that reduce emissions, like regenerating precious forest, replacing old equipment with more efficient technology, or even training communities in beekeeping!

Where are your products made?

Our products are designed by us in Wattle Glen, Australia and made for us by manufacturing partners in Australia and China.

When we started Earths Tribe, we wanted to produce solely within Australia. Unfortunately, the way the manufacturing industry is designed here, the lack of resources and infrastructure makes it nearly impossible for items to be manufactured at a price that is affordable to the end consumer.

Thus not wanting to give up, we searched for manufactures abroad that had the same values in not only the environment but also with the ethical treatment of their employees, including health, safety, pay and working conditions. We have formed many long term partnerships with our manufactures who have become like family, talking to them daily.

What about the carbon footprint of shipping these products internationally?

From when our products are made to when you receive your item, we ensure that no plastic packaging has been used. We import our stock as full container loads, so there is no need for plastic pallet wrap.
